The second wedding during this trip was in South France. It was taking place in the bride’s family olive yard in a lovely afternoon. The whole place was decorated with endless flowers and beautiful lightings. And all the guests were impeccably dressed. Of course I didn’t know that before I went to the actual wedding, but I was so glad that I brought this amazing dress with me, again from Karen Millen
The dress is feminine and sexy with its cut and the little black mesh variation on the right shoulder. I first fell in love with it for the daring yet subtle watercolour prints that ran throughout the whole dress, and then I found it was even more flattering on.
Accessory wise, because there are so many colours on the dress, it’s easy to choose your accessories to match one or more of the colours that are already on the dress. I picked my heels to match the pinky nude, and my fan clutch to match the red and yellow, which also gave the whole outfit a slight oriental feeling.
The afternoon ceremony soon ended with the newlywed getting showered with flower petals, and then began the party. We nibbled, talked, drank, took pictures, laughed, danced… you know, typical stuff. Then dinner was served, speeches were given, new friendships formed, and one of the most elaborate wedding cakes(formed by a large variety of cheeses) arrived and everyone just dug in. Then we danced and danced and danced until even the bedbugs went to bed.
