Markets are the ideal places to go and road test a new trend when you’re not sure wether the rest of the world is ready for it yet.
Lucky for me that the city I live in hosts countless markets everyday, Portobello antique market
every Saturday in Notting Hill being one of the most famous of all.
The other day, I took on the “scarf as a belt” trend spotted on Burberry Prorsum S/S 15 runway, and strolled down by the market. Runway picture credit to The LFW official website
Ladies Durham waxed jacket
(I personally love this jacket. It is super warm and water resistant. Great classic design makes it the perfect piece for both a city trip or a country escape);
Vintage mohair scarf,
similar ones from Rokit
The market is always such a vibrant place. Everybody’s looking at something, everybody’s giving something new(or old) a go. From fashion to interior deco, from art to music, everyone finds a bit of something interesting for themselves.
And you get carried away almost inevitably. By the end of it you’d always try something stupid/crazy. How’s this floor length sleeveless coat for thought?
