Red with a Twist

Who doesn’t have a thing for red? As human beings, we’re(supposed to be) animals with an instinctive thirst for blood/desire/lust… which is what the colour red always represents. So no wonder red is always big in fashion, when something comes in red, there’s a good chance that you get people(like me) who immediately wants to wear it for no explainable reasons. But when it came to this J W Anderson pouch bag, I must say it wasn’t the colour, but the quirky, artistic uniqueness that shouted out to me at the first glance. And when it came in red, I was left no choice but to reach for my purse.

The metal twist handle design makes this bag not the easiest to style with outfits. But that’s also what makes it such a unique, statement piece of your wardrobe. I styled it the other evening going to the theatre with a LBD layered over a pair of burgundy wide-leg trousers, which kind of echoed with the theme of red but in a more toned down hue. A nude/beige blazer just draped over the shoulders for a bit of warmth as well as styling, and finally red lips to finish off the look.

Or other pouch/red bags:

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = ‘//’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);
