A Day in Vigo, Spain

It’s the first week into September, school has started, streets are starting to get covered by falling leaves, and jackets are back in duty… it is Autumn. But who says you can’t dig out some of the amazing photos taken earlier this summer, and immerse yourself back in that salty sea breeze and glaring sunlight? And maybe have a little rummage through your drawer to find that piece of sassy tea dress, and wear for one last time this year(maybe with a pair of boots and a leather jacket this time) before putting it away for the bitter, long winter.

In case I haven’t told you about Vigo(well I’ll admit that I know I haven’t), I need to, now. The ultimate laid back little Spanish town, that’s perfect for sunshine, seafood, and a good G&T.  A short flight from London, we arrived around midnight and stayed at a friend’s house. They made sure we started off the day the Vigo way: 10:30am with a glass of bubbles and some cheese, with a side of a slight hangover.

The day then progressed in the order of beach, G&T, seafood, beach, G&T, seafood…on rotation. It was actually all hypnotically relaxing. It’s lucky that I’ve got the pictures to help me remember all of it.

And on a rainy and dark afternoon in London, looking at these photos warmed me right up faster than a cup of tea.
